Address Discovery
Rebuilt address autocomplete with dossier-api intelligence
Overview
The address autocomplete has been rebuilt to leverage dossier-api for faster, more relevant results - including support for proposed parcels that don't yet have a titled address.
What Changed
Lot on Street (Proposed Parcels)
- Suggestions now include untitled/proposed parcels for builders working with unregistered land
- Category tags on suggestions (Address, Lot on Street) replace grouped sections for clearer identification
Relevance Sorting
- Best matches appear first with exact number matches weighted higher
- Results ordered by relevance score rather than alphabetical or source order
Parallel Endpoint Resolution
- Address lookups proxied through dossier-api with parallel resolution of multiple data sources
- Timeout reduced from 15s to 5s for faster feedback
Field Update Animations
- Staggered green pulse animation on updated fields when an address is selected
- Title Status TomSelect field receives a dedicated update animation
- Visual feedback confirms which fields were populated from the selected address
Bug Fixes
- Filtered placeholder items from suggestion lists
- Removed confusing reorder rules that caused inconsistent suggestion ordering
Impact
Address discovery now surfaces proposed parcels alongside titled addresses, reducing manual data entry for projects on unregistered land and providing faster, more accurate results.
